Stack Group has developed and introduced a software product to collect detailed statistics for each virtual machine and in general of all virtual data centre during a certain period of time beginning from the introduction day.
Now Stack Group clients will be able to receive detailed analytic data: change of virtual machines configuration, volume of consumed computational resources for the set period, days or hours for which the peak consumption falls, changes in the schedule of consumption of resources, etc. So they can in advance plan expansion of the computational resources volumes according to the forecast consumption of own information systems, calculate their cost for short-term, medium-term and long-term perspective.
"Many companies usually have a problem of accounting the consumed resources and forecasting their effective use for future tasks. Statistics may be received from virtualization means VMware, but there is a serious problem when we speak about long periods as it is just not stored in hypervisor. Statistical series shall not be available even next day. So we have developed own software product allowing to collect statistics which may be stored for a required period of time. We use the received data also for internal purposes", commented Ilya Vislotsky, Head of the Client Solutions Architecture Centre and Head of Business Processes Automation Projects.
All statistics is provided in a convenient form for further automated processing, which allows easily and quickly get analytic reports.
